A Prayer for Others

Lord God, we pray for people worldwide to forgive injuries and injustices involving their ethnic group. These old wounds create tensions, keep neighbor pitted against neighbor and can lead to war and genocide. Sear in our mind the fact that we are all members of the human family, borne of common ancestors. Help us to avoid the tendency to divide along superficial differences. Help us to write a future that does not involve living in the past. In Jesus name we pray, Amen

Let us Pray

Lord God, help me to forgive the people who hurt me years ago (name the people) Lord God, help me to forgive the people who have hurt me recently (name the people) Lord God, help me to forgive myself as You have forgiven me. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, I am powerless over my inability to forgive. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, Help me to forgive everyone. In Jesus name I pray, Amen
